Organizing and Placing Web Images Using iPhoto & iWeb

PART 1: IMPORTING AND ORGANIZING YOUR WEB IMAGES IN IPHOTO
1. Open iPhoto.
2. Drag the beta_images folder into the iPhoto Source window. A new album containing the images will be created in the Source window.
3. Select iPhoto>Preferences>Keywords
4. Click the (+) button and add “web” as a new Keyword.
5. Drag all of you the .jpg, .gif, and .png images over the web keyword assigning the web keyword to each image.
6. Click on the Library in the Source window.
7. Select View>Sort Photos>By Keyword…
8. Select the Web keyword in the Keywords box and make sure that all of your beta images appear.

PART 2: PLACING IMAGES IN IWEB
1. Open iWeb.
2. Select the index web page in the yourname_beta site.
3. Select View>Show Media Browser.
4. Click the Photos button in the Media Browser.
5. Click the triangle next to iPhoto. Scroll through the list and select the beta_images folder.
6. Drag the images onto the index page and arrange accordingly.
7. To place the background image select View>Show Inspector. Select the Page Inspector button. At Page Background pull down the drop-down menu and select Image Fill. Find you background image and select Open.
8. Add a Photos page and name it examples. Place your five web example images on this page. Make sure to title each image and add some explanatory text in the top text box.
9. You must use all images on this page at least once.
10. When finished, select File>Publish to a folder… and save your website into your Documents.
