a. JPEG with high compression/low quality.
b. JPEG with low compression/high quality.
c. GIF with web palette.
d. GIF with Optimum palette.
6. Save a Copy… of each new file into the “beta_images” folder.
7. Choose which version best balances smaller file size with quality image integrity. Place your choice in the hand-in folder.
8. Open selected file in The Gimp. Go to Images>Image Size. Change pixels to percent.
9. Change the image size of your chosen file to 25% and save as “yourname_cd3sm.jpg” or “yourname_cd3sm.gif” (depending on the file type you chose previously.) Save the file into “beta_images” folder. Place this smaller “thumbnail” version in the hand-in folder also.
