Order Self-Study Computer Training Materials from Indiana University

Indiana University IT Training & Education’s award-winning STEPS workshop materials are available for purchase on close to 100 beginning to advanced computing and information technology topics. These materials are designed so you can learn on your own. To order materials from IT Training & Education go to: http://ittraining.iu.edu/materials/

The first things you will need to do are create a guest account and an IT Training customer profile.

To create a Guest account at Indiana University, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Indiana University Account Management Service (AMS) at: https://itaccounts.iu.edu/ 2. Select IU Guest Accounts (the third link on the page). 3. Click create IU Guest account. You see a Web form asking you for the information needed to create your Guest account. 4. Enter your email address in the appropriate field. It will become the username of the new Guest account you are creating. Note: For all Indiana University Guest accounts, the full email address must be provided (e.g., foo@hotmail.com) since it will be the account username. When you log in later on, you will need to enter your full e-mail address when asked for a username to successfully log into the online applications and services of Indiana University. 5. Enter your name in the appropriate fields and enter and verify your IU Guest account password. Note: Pay special attention to the Password Guidelines at the bottom of the page when choosing your password. If the password you enter does not comply with these guidelines, you will not be able to successfully create your account. 6. Click Create Account. If you made any mistakes in filling out the information for your account, you will see a message explaining the problem so that you can fix it before continuing. 7. AMS will send an activation message to the email address you provided. To open the page that will activate your account, click the link in the message. 8. On the “Activate your IU Guest Account” page, enter your username (i.e., the entire email address you provided) and password. 9. Click Activate Account

To Create your IT Training & Education User Profile Once you have created your Guest account you can log into the IT Training & Education site and create your user profile. 1. To create your IT Training user profile go to: http://ittraining.iu.edu/profile/ and log in using your Indiana University Guest account. 2. Fill in the form and click the ‘Save Customer Profile’ at the bottom of the page. As a member of Art Bistro, which has partnered with Indiana University to offer you these materials at a discounted price, you should set your customer status to IU Affiliate. 3. You can now go to the Order STEPS Materials page to purchase training materials. Go to: http://ittraining.iu.edu/materials/.
