We tend to draw things out before we create things, so I don't know if any advancement would have occured. I mean, really, would creativity still be there? Because that is how inventions happen. I have to think of the tribes that still exist in Africa that have had NO contact with the outside world. I mean, you fly over with a plane, they throw spears at it, because they think it is some weird bird. I think what would happen if you went there, and took them from their tribe and brought them to a major city? I mean, to them, you would be bringing them to the future. I mean, really, look at your life! All the luxuries that you have. If you want at example, it's old, but it's true, the movie, "The Gods Must Be Crazy".

Without creativity there would be no advancement, we would be like monkeys in the trees. I mean, even monkeys use tools, but the use of a tool implies creativity.

This is going to go off on a crazy tangent, that has little to nothing to do with the original question posted. But I'm feeling a little philosophical right now. So I warned you, read on at your own risk.

You probably have a cell phone, and if you do what other lovely features does it have besides calling anywhere in the world at a seconds notice to hear someones voice wirelessly who is 6000+ miles a way.  Does it look up the the internet? Because then you can look up your questions and get information about anything you want to know in the palm of your hand, wirelessly, anywhere!

If you are reading this, you are staring at a light box with a control panel that you use to input information so that millions of people world wide can read what YOU, one of 6.6 BILLION (6,600,000,000 that's a LOT of zeros people) people in the world, have to say on said topic. And most of you reading this, probably use this great box to edit, create, alter, artwork.

You probably have flown on a plane, a device used to make long distance travel faster, and can fly you anywhere in the world!

I know we don't have flying cars, but we have helicoptors, which are pretty close.

But this is the future. And what are we doing with it? We're at WAR! We destroying it, we dump our waste, burn our fuel, send ourselves off to die, we are jerks to other nations, and we wonder why everyone hates us? We don't value education, and we lose track of our once noble goals in turn for laziness, greed, and gluttony. This world has got to change. We can't go on like this.... If we do, we are just going to end the world, and 2012 isn't that far off. I've got too many things in life I still want to experience.
