Posted 4 months ago Are there any slightly off center or interesting web sites you would recommend people to look at? Could be related to Art but does not have to be.

| Posted 4 months ago The Post-It Project http://thepostitproject.blogspot.com/ Art made on a Post-it pad. You can scan your Post-it Art and send it to this site. Or you can view what others have submitted. Over a years worth of miniature art work has been submitted. I noticed many used the traditional yellow as a back ground. |

| Posted 3 months ago NEWS of the WEIRD http://newsoftheweird.com/archive/index.html You may have seen this column in alternative newspapers. It has several topics including Least Competent Criminals. "This is the home page for News of the Weird, the weekly syndicated column (founded 1988) that is the most widely-read U.S. newspaper feature on current bizarreness--indeed, the gold standard of weird-news reporting, appearing in about 250 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada. For some readers, News of the Weird is a light diversion from the serious reporting of the week. For others, though, it's a weekly chronicle of the alarming decline of civilization. Or a therapeutic personal benchmark (for reassurance that the problem is other people, not you). Or, for the few who actually wind up in News of the Weird, a monument to lives interestingly lived."

| Posted 3 months ago For awhile it was my favorite, but unfortunately it's gone now, wasn't related to art, but had really great humor, twisted humor, my favorite kind. It was www.grin-reaper.com It's Better To Seek Forgiveness Than To Ask For Permission |

| Posted 3 months ago Sorry that does not exist anymore Regnadkcin-sounded good. Garbage Scout - " New York, NY - Found Treasure Map - a recycler's dream, a cheapskate's best friend, and a dumpsters diver's companion" In New York you may be able to collect valuable discards or alert others of street treasure. The FAQ section tells how to post a find. The find will appear on a large map. I imagine high-quality rubbish does not last long. The site is simple to view, takes you right to a map, and you quickly see pictures of the "treasure" on a large map of the New York area. Some photos are old, so I don't know how active it is right now. It has gotten write ups in various publications. Seems like it would be a good idea for other communities. |

| Posted 3 months ago Thanks Gio. Kind of scary-create you own talking stain for Tide. Hanzi Smatter http://hanzismatter.com/ A site "dedicated to the misuse of Chinese characters in Western culture". A person sitting next to you with the Chinese character on her lower back thinks it reads "Love is blind" when it really says, "broccoli with oyster sauce." Has interesting archive links.

| Posted 3 months ago Jon.... that last website is hilarious! This website showcases how nuts Japanese moms have gotten trying to outdo eachother in presenting the most creative box lunches for their kids. I had one American mom on the hunt for special seaweed because her daughter was starting to bring bento to her school in Oakland! www.trendhunter.com/trends/bizare-bento-images-as-bento-part-2 I've seen enough of the dark to always look for the light in people or situation. |

| Posted 3 months ago OMG that's hilarious! Now the question is ... does the problem lie with the artist (very loosely used here) or with the editor that okayed this for publishing?! I've seen enough of the dark to always look for the light in people or situation. |
