I am finding I will turn to my favorite Blogs, instead of a book.

The continuing story of a community garden, or the local paper's running Blog about our neighborhood concerns.

As a graphic designer turned multi-medium artist, I am finding my way with Blogging.

But would like to learn to make money with it.

I have ideas on content & art, just wondering if Google Ads, or other sponsorship would be worth pursuing.

Adsense pays for each click they get from your site. It's not a lot of money unless you have hundreds or thousands of visits per day, because only a small percentage will click the ads. A single click may pay a penny or fifty cents, the money depends on the advertisers deal with Google. The best revenue is traditional advertising such as banner ads from businesses willing to help support a blog. A seed company or lawn and garden supply company advertising on a garden blog would be an example. The more readers, the more you can charge per space and duration of the ad.

There are websites that specialize in providing content to other websites. They will take articles from writers and when they sell them, they pay the writer minus a cut for themselves.

On average, a good, well written, how-to article pays five cents a word.

Here's some info with more details.

Thanks for asking that question... about getting paid to blog...

I was thinking of selling blogging "packages" where I would set up a blog fo an organization, design / redesign their blog so that it functions like a website or an online coommunity... and then charge a fee per number of blog articles I write per week or per month or so.... but selling several packages to a couple of different organizatinos might make more money than waiting for money to come to you...

any ideas?
