Lighthouses are a Beautiful Piece of Architectural Structure! But, As Far As ART, Whew!; We Can All Do So Much In Our Own Ways With Our Imaginations and Lighthouses!!! 

Lighthouses are very cool.  I wanted to do a series of engraved glasses with various lighthouses, but lost my access to the engraving apparatus for the time being, so thats out.  I always wanted to be a lighthouse keeper....hard and somewhat lonesome job that it can be....but that job is pretty much gone these days.  Living on the coast of California I have pretty good access to lighthouses, and having traveled from San Diego to Victoria Canada along the coast I have seen quite a lot of them.  I really need some time off soon....maybe a trip along the coast to get some pics of lighthouses would be good.

Lighthouses are so beautiful, I just returned from Michigan, Pentwater area, and they have some of the most awesome lighthouses. I have made 3 so far out of steel.  

I love lighthouses, because they are a monumental link to ancient times.   They are symbolic, even in this modern age of technology, of the great adventures who sailed off into the unknown, to explore new worlds.   I am partial to lighthouses made out of stone.  But I like the patterns on some of the metal ones as well!
