When you work with a ton of different clients, in all ways and forms, we all come accross the ones that think THEY are the designer, or just plain don't know what they are talking about. What is your favorite example?

Here is mine:

" I want a gradient in the background that fades from white to red. In no way whatsoever do I want to see any shade of PINK in that! And no baby poop greens either"  (client, to ad rep, to me the designer).

What happens when you mix red and white? PINK! Idiot ... and I'll restrain from smearing poop on your ad

Yep, feel your pain...I like the "Same, but different...", along with the provided 20 pixel logo jpeg and the sketch done on the cocktail napkin...

 I read a great quote once... "Any yo-yo with a mac that designs the local church bake-sale flyer thinks they're a designer."  Nuff said.

 well, at least your not relying on "photographers" that are shooting cover shots with a point and shoot. the following is the exact conversation i just had about 10 minutes ago:

"photog":

Helloooooooooooooo !

Here are photos that Dana promised.

Please let me know if any of these will work.

Me:hey there,

thanks for sending these. however, none of these will work. the pictures need to be vertical, since our publication is a vertical format. is there any way you can take some more, but vertical? let me know. thanks.

"photog":

when you say vertical - you mean turn the camera???

please keep in mind I am very lacking in technical skills

....yep

Screw it, I'm working in cicéros from now on.
