Anyone besides me use oil-paint over acrylics for some highlights to get a translucent look! Dennis

I use acrylics basically to paint abstract paintings. I use masonite primes with gesso and sanded smooth to paint on. Anybody find anything better to paint geometrical abstracts on? Dennis

I use oil over acrylic. There are just some things that oils achieve that acrylics don't quite touch.

For acrylic painting, I wish I could find something to paint on that is as smooth as Ampersand Clayboard Smooth-- but does not dry quite so fast. Any info would be appreciated. Dennis
