Art Software for Computer
Posted 7 months ago I need some advice from all you computer pros out there. I would love to buy an art software program for my computer (Adobe Photoshop, Coral Paintshop, etc.), but have no idea what to get. I do paintings, sketches, and photography and I can't spend more than $150 - I'm a starving artist/student. Any advice would be appreciated! |

| Posted 7 months ago Hey Sarah; if you are a student (or have access to one) you can get the Adobe Suite for a good discount...However, thats still above the $150...You'd need a vector illustration program and a good image editor type program...Check www.downloads.com...the freeware/open source/shareware sector has improved greatly from what it used to be...I'd avoid CorelDraw like the plague (some people love it, I'm not one of those people.)...Your goals would be get real comfortable using a Bezier based vector program so you'll be ready to dive into Illustrator when your ready...Photoshop Essentials is a pretty good package, and often you can get it bundled with something else thats cool...(I got it with a Wacom Tablet for $89, for the tablet and the free software...Look for a deal like that- seems like that would be awesome for what you want) Course, you can test drive all the big boys Adobe stuff for 30 days using the demos...www.adobe.com...Hope this is helpful! | Posted 7 months ago College bookstores often have discounts for students, It also could be possible for another student or employee to buy software for you. There may be some restrictions on student software. |
