Hmm..me too!
Keep applying online. Moster.com and Careerbuilder.com. Thats where I'm looking for jobs right now. There are some staffing agencies that help you to get jobs as well but I didn't have much with those yet :S

Things arent any better where I live,
The job market I work is pretty saturated, I think I held four different jobs since 2006. The freelance market is even more aggressive and cuthroat, so I decided to go into a different area maybe make a little bit less money but at least my stress level comes down with that too.

is tough for me and i live in chicago.  finaly just nailed down a waiter job most likely today.  will graphic design when can.

I'm an architecture student and I spent months and months searching for internships.  I finally got one...then they dropped me because of the market -- they didn't have any projects!  I kept an open mind and started applying to creative jobs in similar fields.  I just landed a job as a junior designer in a textile design firm (using Craigslist, if you can believe it).

I'm a starving artist who definitely needs a job, better yet a career.  And it's hard find jobs even in Chicago! craigslist, careerbuilder, monster, snagajob.com are all the websites that I have accounts to.  I've been looking for jobs on these sites since 2005 and haven't had much luck finding employment with a BFA in painting/drawing.  But if you're looking for a job in graphic or web design u'll have no problem using those websites.  Good luck to everyone!
