Not too expensive for the vibrant and buttery quality that Gamblin Paints Provide.

I moved to Gamblin when i started using their Alkyd product. I like the paint in general, but haven't worked with it long.

Among my favorite paints, I first started using them about 20 years ago when I don't think they were as well known. They had a reputation for quality control even then.

An overall great product line. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned vet, Gamblin encompasses all that a good painter maker requires: quality pigments, both classic as well as modern colors, ever-evolving mind-set regarding mediums, solvents as well as specialty products that have been reformulated to meet the stringent specifications of the conservationist and more importantly, the artist. As a fellow alumni of Robert Gamblin (both attended the San Francisco Art Institute), I was able to see first-hand his generousity in invitiing all of the painting department of SFAI to pariticipate in a color themed painiting contest in which the grand prize was a full collection of Gamblin Artist Oil Colours, and they weren't the small tubes! How cool is that!
