R&F handmade encaustic paints is the premier "wax paint" manufacturer in the U.S. The paint is well milled providing excellent suspension of pigment, which results in a very consistent highly pigmented paint. As far as I can tell they use a traditional blend of beeswax, resin and pigment. A very fine paint. You do pay more than you would making it yourself, but the consistency and "strength of color" is excellent through the bar.
