This is a GREAT Telephoto Lens for getting those close up shots. There is no stabilizer, but its reaction to my Canon Rebel xt is fast, without any blur. It has been a great camera for shooting sports and close ups of wildlife. And for the price, you can't go worng. Excellent lens to add to the collection.
