Extremely versital and cheap. I love to use it in "multi-media" pieces. Which happens to be a term I hate. I think it is somehow important to use the things that surround us.

I love cardboard. I found this place where I live that makes industrial cardboard. 1-ply 2 ply and even 3 ply. Really sturdy stufff and if you say that you are using it for school projects you can even get it for free. But make sure you have a knife or box cutter because it comes in 8 ft. sheets! Sure the free boxes and stuff are good, but the industrial stuff is great and makes for sturdy projeccts. Check out my Donkey Kong sculpture made almost entirely of cardboard.****************************************

CARDBOARD IS GREAT FOR MODELING AND /OR FINISHING PIECES. RECYCLE CARDBOARD IT'S AS GOOD AS ANY INDUSTRIAL QUALITY, SO GO FOR IT ...DON'T DOUBT IT FOR A MINUTE AND GET SOME.....

Have used in in mixed media combined with matt board etc., paint, and a glue gun. Also use it to help protect paintings in transit.

cheap/ inexpensive and extremely versatile. very strong and can create very sturdy strong sculptures or furniture. can be glued together in layers and then make a chair! love it!
