While the performance of this product has been fine, the usefulness of the Graphire for anything larger-scale is limited. At the time of my purchase, this was the most affordable with my budget, but I've barely been able to use it since. I would hesitate to recommend a tablet this small to anyone looking to do illustration on a normal-sized scale; I'm constantly running off the active surface and having to start over with a mouse. It's a good tool for casual photo editing, but attempting to use it for any length of time will frustrate. Inferior to the Intuos I use at work.
There is a learning curve to using a tablet - especially a small one like this. I had used one at an internship and caught on real quick. Bought this one for myself and used it on my PC - it is hard due to the fact that when using the mouse you're used to lifting and moving the mouse - the tablet on the other hard - you don't. There's a scroll & 2 buttons built into the tablet and the product cones with a stylus pen and a mouse. It's a fun tool to use, but be ready to relearn "mousing".
Like it better then a pencil now.
Easy to adapt to, and fun to use. Great for most of the projects I work on.
I had one and it was amazing. Then it bit the dust :( but I got one of those Bamboo Funs by Wacom and I really can say your life isn't complete without a tablet.
This digital pen is my favorite digital computer tool to use.
