Archival, lightfast, and acid free, the panels are ideal for acrylics, gouache, tempera, egg tempera, pen and inks as well as for mixed media techniques, airbrush, and collage. The surface is additive and subtractive. Remove paints to add contrast, texture, tonal value and fine details. Perfect for any artwork that requires an extremely smooth surface.

Very "forgiving" board on which you can mix media such as acrylics, airbrush (watercolor, liquid acrylics, inks), water soluble color pencils, etc; also, I like using different types of erasers on it, reducing or removing the paint...A lot of fun!
You may want to contact the manufacturer for custom size greater than 24x36, I have done it in the past .

Clayboard comes white and black, in smooth and textured to meet all my painting needs. I have found it to be an excellent backgound for mixed media, air brushing, acrylic and colored pencils. I prefer using Clayboard Smooth above all else. It makes a great illustration board for presentations, and portfolios. It can also be purchased in quantity and comes in a variety of sizes.

Loved this board for doing fine line techniques in scratch-board after I applied India ink to it and dried the surface. Perfect for my needs at the time.
