This is just a must have in my studio, whether I am trimming prints, doing graphic papercuts or any number of little cutting jobs, knowing this space is clean and ready really facilitates workflow.

I really like using this mat. I use a rolling blade to cut paper with and this protects my table no matter how hard a press down on it. I also like the fact that you can use the grid to measure or line up things. It's also fairly inexpensive to buy, always a plus

No more cuts on my drafting table, and No more cutting on old board pieces either. Since I purchased this self healing green cutting mat I have had only straight lines and success in cutting a mat. A superior product in my book.

I love this thing. I use it every day and it fits perfectly on my desk. I want to have its green self-healing babies. My only complaint is that they smell a little funny when brand new- but what can you do?

i like these mats. however, i would transport them to and from school only to find them curled... an unfortunate affect the texas heat and humidity. [BUt they aren't termed "self- healing" for nothing.]

I've used Alvin's materials in a lot of applications over the years, and on the downside they aren't exactly the champagne of drawing materials.

However, for the quality they offer and the price they are an excellent price/quality combination providing good value. For the beginning artist they usually won't break the bank, and for the prosumer while they are of average quality they are dependably so. So you really can't go too far wrong by buying Alvin products.

Most artists and designers will before long find out that they can't get by without a cutting mat. Alvin's is reasonably priced and as dependable as the rest of their product line, which means that you'll do rather well for yourself if you get yourself a couple of these mats (one large for your big table and a smaller one that can travel in your art bag).

The self-healing feature works very well. I recommend this.

A definite must-have! Saves a lot of time vs. looking for something to cut on top of. Someone seems to have "borrowed" mine... I need to pick another one up.

this is a very useful tool when cutting mats or anything that uses a rotary cutter or utility knife ... i have several in different sizes for different projects (large to small)

Indispensable. Nothing is worse than cutting a project on the back of a sketch pad that you have cut on many a time and catching an old groove. (and I don't mean a disco song either)

this is almost a staple for any work bench- just don't leave one in your hot car, or it will warp forever. :( also not compatible with hot glue...
