This computer rocks. The 20 inch screen is a must for image editing, and the OS X integration is key for successful workflow.
Beautiful 20" display makes my G4 iMac 15" seem tiny. Those 5 inches make a huge difference. It's not only visually stunning, but much easier to work with as well. I love it!
performance, bz i'm using this one
it's realy nice.
The sleek design makes this computer not only easy to use but is an inspiration to look at. I've been a Mac enthusiast since 1986 when I saw one for the first time. We've come a long way, baby!
I've used this style Mac (among others) for about 8 months now. The Mac itself with the short cut keys (F9-F12) make thing so much more fluid (and addicting to use). The fact the the 'monitor' is the whole computer makes it easier to take the Mac to be serviced (mine had a cd drive issue). Another benifit is that it takes up less space on the desk! More room for all my highly needed things!
Great computer for Graphic/Web Design. Affordable, powerful enough to run the Adobe CS3 Suite (w/2-3gig RAM) for design, some video editing and 3D modeling/animation. I use the 19" iMac core 2 duo at home and it works great. The newer iMacs have more RAM expandability which is preferred when working with large files while having the entire CS3 suite open at once. Overall great tool for design and multimedia.
This is a great computer! You can run Adobe products the greatest design tools you can buy.
Programs run very smooth with this computer.
I absolutely LOVE my iMac! Everytime I sit down in front of the computer my eyes "feel good" as they're never strained like all of the other monitors I've sat in front of. The OSX has handled every bit of software I can throw at it and then some. I'd never be able to work on all of my graphics programs and run others on my Gateway... not anywhere NEAR as efficient anyway! Best investment I've made in all of my computer hardware and software purchases. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Love this computer. I bought on ebay and got a lot of software already installed. I HAVE been converted!!!!
bec
I have the 24 inch Core 2 Duo model, and configured to the max, the machine is both affordable and powerful, allowing for everything from image editing to 3D graphics and animation. With such a large screen and the addition of a second display, the amount of workspace and power this machine carries still amazes me after having it for a year. With the integrated design, I can have my tablet and thumbnails on the desk in front of me, and still have room for my coffee :-)
This product has a great picture, it's very light and has a cool web camera that takes great stills. easy to install extra memory.
Buying an iMAC has to be the best investment I have made. I own a 24inch and it's absolutely amazing. The 20 inch is almost identical. I would highly recommend this computer to anyone, especially creative artists!
Mac is the best computer for anything art related. Don't buy anything else
2nd on my list of things to buy when I get my tax rebate check!
i loved this mac - it was beautiful and pleassing to the eye as well as funtional - unfortunately i ran out of memory and had to upgrade to a bigger one...
I have been using this machine since it first came out. Still works just like the day i got it (2 Years). I want to get the new one but i still love this one. programs work perfect on it. I usually take it with me on trips because its just a monitor and a keyboard. I <3 IMAC
life without it seems bleak
Only in a mac, I can open in the same time ,all my softwares and work, without crash.
This is one sweet set up for doing Graphic design
I must say being in school and first starting to use mac's I will never go back to a PC. I love mac's and I love my new iMac!! I love how big the screen is. It is soo easy on the eyes when doing graphics.
This is my computer. I increased the memory and am now running leopard on it, with a 256 gig Iomega hard drive backup for Time Machine. The way it's set up now it's virtually indestructible: this is what a personal computer should be. It loads and runs Photoshop CS2 flawlessly. When the time comes to upgrade, I'll replace it with a newer iMac. I'm entirely sold on Apple.
I still produce using this Mac. I have never had a single problem with it (*knocks on wood*). When the RAM is at its maximum, the system does not break a sweat when it comes to doing some heavy lifting. On the downside, since I'm about to work on some projects that require the Mac to have an Intel processor, I'm going to have to retire the old iMac, but she will definitely stay in my arsenal. This is a great machine.
This was my first mac but have since invested in a macbook. I still choose to use my imac for all image editing due to larger screen size and better memory/processor capability's. Plus the design is a simple but efficient, and aesthetically pleasing.
