| Description: | The CINEMA 4D family of products has everything to satisfy your professional 3D modeling, texturing, animating and rendering needs. CINEMA 4D is fast, stable, powerful and delivers dazzling imagery. CINEMA 4D offers customizable configuration suitable for any industry and all skill levels. |
Cinema 4D was the first 3D modeling program I've used. It offers a wide variety of tools than make modeling and animating easy to do and learn. Built in modules like Dynamics and Particles give modelers all the tools they need to make realistic and interesting scenes. Bodypaint 3D comes with the studio package, and with it, texturing characters and machines has never been easier.
For a young and self-taught 3D artist, it was easy for me to pick up Cinema 4D and, within just a few minutes, start pumping out images. Maxon offers a demo version, and the sheer amount of content that comes with the newest release makes it worth the buy. It comes with module like Hair, Advanced Render, Particles, Dynamics, BodyPaint 3D, MOCCA, and Mograph. Plus, it's easy to add new plugins you find online, and there is a large, bustling community that is continually making useful modules for the program.
Cinema is also very compatible. It offers a decent range of export options. It can recognize 3Ds files and lightwave objects.
Using Cinema 4D in conjunction with Photoshop, a modeler can easily create custom textures and bump maps, as well as use Alpha channel to make decals.
All around, Cinema 4D is a stable 3D modeling program, with very few downsides.
