Just so you don't get alarmed. Yes, I do know what year it is. I am fully aware of the new releases. In these troubled times the people cried for more. The preverbial Puntias Pilots of the indusrty, all but washed thier collective hands of this six mega-pixel juggernaut. If you can overlook the ultra-slow start-up time(in the vacinity of 3 seconds), Poor Image quality over ISO 800, It's non compatibility with the EF-S series lenses, As well as the limited menu options(compared to similar releases by Nikon) you are part of the in crowd. I will allways stress "Know what you want from a camera and know what the camera can do for you". No matter how hard I try, I cant squeeze 22 megapickels out of a 10D. What you get in this extremely rugged body, is a world class athelete in the body of Barry Bonds. Performance, Duribility and the look and feel of a pro camera(with the BG-ED3 ATTACHED). Unfortunatly in this day and age this camera will not cut it in the "professional" market. Students, Beginers to advanced amatures and even as a back-up for the working pro. Even as a quriousity quencher for the lifelong Nikon shooter. Whatever you flavor is, the 10D will be a very good friend to you for a very long time.
This is my first digital camera & I love it. I don't like to read the manuals for electronic devices because I'm really good at figuring out how to use them. I found out that this camera is pretty easy to figure out. There are so many settings to fool around with.
