Tough, Quick, Silent and Crystal. Let's cut to the chase. This lense in my estimation is the best ultra-wide lense Canon has released since the
EF-L 20-35 f2.8. The lense has survived two girlfriends. Produced images during wedding receptions with virtually no light available. The 17-40 also gives you the ability to make great use of the ultra-close (M.F.D) focusing distance. Its clarity is amaizing. 20x30's from a six megapixel camera (RAW FILE) are stunning. If the majority of your photography is with flash or you do not shoot in low light often. This is the lense for you.
