Create sophisticated artwork that will integrate with other design programs.
Easily my favorite app in the Adobe suite. I use it for just about every project.
This program is one of the most useful tools that a designer or digital artist can use. I believe the program is Adobe’s lesser-known program that should be a universally used and acknowledge by all designers, artist and the public. This program is useful for creating clean-vectored art. Great for logo design, type design and vectored illustration.
CS2 is miles ahead of CS1 with just the live-trace feature alone! Very handy tool.
I love Illustrator! Its so much fun to play with and I learn something new everyday! Sometimes I come home from work and just play on it to try out new ideas!!
Illustrator has to be one of the best programs out there. If your into packaging design it makes things ten times easier then Quark. Paths are easy to dra and manipullate.
It has the best tools and well its just another one of adobe's hits that was released!
good drawing tools
the only reason i rate this a 3 star is because i havent had time to sit down and learn extensively how to use the pen tool. it can be very tricky if you don't know what the heck your doing. I do like to use this to add text to my images for a design element.
This Is MY Favorite Tool. I Use Religiosly
This is a great product, its very clear and what you can do with it seems limitless. Although it does take a great deal of patience to be able to do anything with it, if i could make any improvements i'd make it do less itself and allow the user to make the decisions
I enjoy the easy and user friendly process of transforming my hand drawings into vector art. I have been using this program for years to experiment within the screen printing industry.
There is no question that Illustrator is a great program for illustrations, logo makings etc. I really enjoyed doing one of my self-portraits with it. I still need to learn other awesome features. If you are in graphic design, learning how to use Illustrator is a must!
Really great software.
It is more versatile than any other (of many) I've tried!
I love using this program. It makes creating new designs very easy once you know how to use it.
Making line art for scanned drawings couldn't get easier than this. It's a must for those quick clean up jobs
I am addicted to Illustrator just as much as photoshop and flash. If creative suite CS3 is better, I'll probably need to attend NA meetings more often.
Great for creating logos. I love the Live Trace tool. I use Illustrator everyday, along with Photoshop.
I use the regular CS and it's great so I can only imagine it has gotten better with the new version.
Illustrator works seamlessly with all the Adobe apps. You can copy and paste vector art directly from this application to Indesign and Photoshop as well as other programs or export your art into the most popular formats.
While it can seem daunting at first, blow through one tutorial and it becomes a tool you will wonder how you lived without when it comes to designing logos, banners, packaging or illustrations.
Great program.
First vector program I learned A++
I'd been using Illustrator for several years. It's a great tool and a must have for designers.
Another gem from Adobe, worth every dollar. Grew up with Corel but have fallen head over heals for Illustrator (the most fun I've had with vectors outside math class!)
I have this version, and have been using illustrator for several years. I can only echo what others have pointed out.
I have been using Illustrator for 13 years, and I love CS2. I haven't had the chance to move up to CS3 (unfortunately they charge money for these programs), but I do some pretty involved stuff with CS2. I love the way the gradients work, and I am able to achieve some nice graphic effects with it. If only they could make the transforming tools more like Photoshop (perspectives, distorts, etc) it would be perfect. Somebody please tell me that CS3 has done this, and I'll have to rush out and buy it!
This is a very nicely broad ranging program when it comes to what you can accomplish with it. I use it in our sign shop for layout and design creation. It is a little less user friendly, I think, than CorelDraw X3....a bit better for the seasoned professional who has a lot of experience with top end art programs. But the learning curve isn't too bad as these programs go. It does have the slight advantage of being able to open some files I had never encountered before, including some that CorelDraw X3 couldn't open or even recognize. In output I would have to say that it seems a dead heat between AICS2 and CorelDraw X3 quality-wise. The filters seem to be pretty much the same, and they share many other simularities much as one would expect. AICS2 does seem to be a bit more of a memory hog though, which is, more than likely, so evident to me only since we probably haven't got the optimum of memory available in our machines at work. Overall I would recommend this product to any professionsal artist.
Creating Vector Graphics? this the perfect tool you need and colors are superb because they share the same cms profile with photoshop.... good for creating logos...
Awesome program. I love how they changed the layers on how I can like edit it since and so forth. But gives excellent graphics and more as when i was using version 10
I can only echo what others have pointed out.
You can accually smell the flowers when you sniff the box
before the start of every design, this is the first program I open. it can be as free as your mind: anything you want to accomplish, can be done using this program. almost no limitations and the pen tool is as good as it gets.
Amazing application. I use it in conjunction with Photoshop to create the designs for my gourds. I'm not as adept in this program as I am in PS but I find I use it for alot of other things and I'm learning more every day. I think it is as powerful a tool as they say it is in their tutorials.
this is my favorite program ever!! when i started using it almost two years ago i was worried that i would never understand it. i was way wrong. it's very user friendly and opens up all kinds of new doors to art
