Fabulous camera. Never lets me down!
It was my 1st digital camera and still in my arsenal. You can't kill it (as with all Nikons). I now shoot with a D2 as primary and a D200 as back-up BUT my D70 is always in my car. I charge it MAYBE once a month... you can't kill the battery either. It's fast and gets the job done. The one downside... because it's not an alloy body... it tends to get a bit dusty in certain locations but other than that... it's a great P&S while driving around looking at locations
Out of the box and on auto setting this camera is a champion. Some of my best photos were taken the first day I got it on auto. And "can't be killed" is a true statement. A week after I shot those amazing first photos, it took a trip with me butt-tobogganing 100 yards down the side of Mount Lassen. Still works like a charm.
I agree with Giovanni...this is a champion...I still use this camera often...easy to use, great weight and balance...love it
i love this camera, have to admit still learning to use parts of it.
i love my Jezebel. Yes, I named it. I used my friends and knew I had to have one. Not so high on the mp, but who needs it. A very functional camera. Never have to look at the menu when you're shooting, and the body just feels at home in my hands.
I love my camera! I have had it for 2 years and I have never had a single problem out of it!
I like the camera. I don't like the dust issue on the sensors. If you break the camera be prepared for a long wait if it has to go back to Nikon, get a spare as soon as you can, you may need it if you shoot for a living.
'cause i have it and it's my fav
This was my first DSLR. I loved it and passed it to my husband when I bought my D200. It's a backup camera as well as a very useful and wonderful first DSLR.
Back in 2006 a Canon Representative pulled me to the side and admitted that this was one of Nikon's better digital cameras. He was impressed. I shoot nightclub shots. I mount a Speedlight 800 flash and it produces wonders. The look and physical appearance of the camera make the most attractive people stop and pose.
I have owned this camera since I graduated from high school. It has already been about 3 years and I still love it. It can do everything, still gets heavy from carrying it everywhere, but I never leave the house without it by my side.
