I bought this book about 7 years ago, but never did anything with it. My brother then picked it up, and went through the whole 'course', and found it great.
fantastic book, I recommend it to everyone I talk to and have bought copies for a few people.
It's a good book, it makes you think outside the box.
Use portions to teach my High School students
This was a great reference book for me and I used a few of the exercises in my classroom over the years.
So many key points & concepts covered so simply in this book. I could only recommend one book this would be it. Hogarth is a close second...
I really liked this book. It would be useful for high school students and those just starting out. It was a very good start.
I originally read this book in 1976. It gave me perspective and insight that I've used since.
When I decided that I was going to pursue my first love, I committed myself to learning to see like an artist--which meant perfecting my drawing skills since drawing is the foundation of creating great art. This book was extremely instrumental in accomplishing that task. Great for all who are serious about honing their drawing skills by learning to "see" properly!
A classic in its field. I first read it in college years ago.
Great book!
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST HELPERS I EVER HAVE HAD.....
Excellent book!!!
I read it at school.. helps alot..
Even a talented artist will find a vast improvement in their drawing abilities after following this book's practice methods.
Heard about this book but never read it until I was hired to teach an Intro to Drawing class this year. Lots of good techniques that were very useful.
a very good instructional book for drawing ... this is a book that everyone should read if they are interested in drawing
