Sego Art Center
August 13, 2008
The Sego Art Center, a contemporary non-profit art center located in Provo, UT, is dedicated to showing quality contemporary visual art from a diversity of media and practices. Through and with the display of excellent artworks, Sego desires to create an atmosphere of scholarship, education, and community surrounding the arts.
ArtBistro and the Sego Art Center are excited to announce that a juried show selected from ArtBistro users will be held in the center’s main gallery and project space for the month of November 2008. All ArtBistro artists working within the realm of contemporary visual art are encouraged to submit work for the show. All media will be accepted for review (painting, mixed media, drawing, sculpture, installation, new media, animation, fashion design, furniture design, graphic design, html, sound, performance, and video are all examples of the wide range of media and practices encouraged for submission).
An opening at the Sego Art Center
Artists will be chosen by the art center’s selection committee in mid-September and will be notified of acceptance by the end of the month. Accepted artists will be required to complete and send an additional consent form.
Several Awards will be given from the pool of accepted entries. The awards will be as follows: Best of Show, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mentions at the Jurors’ discretion. Cash Prizes will be given from the total amount of entry fees collected: first place 15%, second place 10%, third place 5%, honorable mentions at the jurors’ discretion.
Brandon Boulton, Untitled (part of Was Ist Surrealismus?), Spray Foam, Metal, Lights, 2008
Applicants are asked to strictly follow the application guidelines below, as incorrectly submitted applications will not be considered. Artists can submit work from August 13, 2008 to September 15, 2008. Entries received after September 15, 2008 11:59 PM MST will not be considered.
There is a five dollar entry fee per work submitted. No detail images please. Choose the image that best describes your work. There is a maximum submission of five entries per artist. Instructions are detailed below on how to submit the work and entry fees.
Gian Pierotti, Untitled, Porcelain, 2008
Accepted work must be ready to display and constructed in the best fashion upon arrival at the Gallery; work must be sturdy and able to be displayed securely – i.e. no top-heavy or insufficiently supported sculpture, work that is hazardous to viewers, or itself. Such works will be returned to the artist and not included in the exhibition.
Each artist selected to be in the show will be required to pay for and arrange the shipping / delivery of their work to and from the gallery by appointed dates (details will be provided in letters of acceptance). Sego will bear no responsibility for any damage to artworks when in transit to and from the Art Center.
Sego will promote, hang, curate, and organize the exhibition, as well as produce a full-color catalog in conjunction with the show.
Selected artists are encouraged to attend the opening reception, although this is not a requirement for participation in the show.

No detail images means that no additional images (which are closeups or details) should be submitted along with the main image of your work. Only one image of each work, not multiple, closeup images.

So basically you click the link at the bottom of this page, the one that says "CLICK HERE" TO SEE STEPS..., and then the next article has the steps to submit work. It helps to read the whole thing through once. What you are going to do is join the group "Virtual Identities, Real Space - Sego Art Center Juried Show, 2008". There is a link to the group on the "STEPS TO SUBMIT" page. You are going to submit your work in the form of an image url to the group discussion "Submit your artwork to the show". The instructions are detailed pretty well in the discussion.

Having trouble with steps to enter 'Juried Show for 2008'. I am an ArtBistro member, and have found the page explaining the steps, but to submit work, there is no link??
Thanks,
