Prior to starting ArtBistro, Valerie lived and worked as an artist in New York City for ten years. Her work has been shown at New York galleries and museums and been reviewed in publications such as The New York Times. Valerie taught art for eight years part-time at Grace Church School and most recently at Brigham Young University. She has collaborated on a number of commercial enterprises with composers, designers, writers, photographers, and dancers. ArtBistro is proud to introduce its newest feature, eGifts. Now you can give a variety of fun gifts to all of your friends.
Give a Gift
You can use your personal points bank to give other ArtBistro users gifts. The balance of your points bank increases at the same rate that your reputation score increases. Each gift you give will reduce your points bank balance by 10 points. Your reputation score will not change. You can see your point bank on the egifts home page. You can gain more points by doing activities around the site: fill out your profile, invite a friend, comment on an article, post a video, or any other activity.
You can find your gifts in your profile. Giving gifts is housed under the “Community” tab.
You can give gifts:
Publicly (People will see your gift and the gift will go in the recipient’s gift box in his or her profile.),
Privately (People will see the gift but only the recipient will see your name. The gift will go on the recipient’s gift box in his or her profile but will be labeled as private.)
Anonymously (People will see the gift but no one will see your name. The gift will go in the recipient’s gift box but will be labeled as anonymous.).
