For the past ten years I have lived and worked as an artist in New York City. I've shown my work at numerous museums and galleries after graduating from SVA with my MFA. I enjoy teaching. I taught part-time at Grace Church School in Manhattan and most recently on a University level. I'm from Michigan...mostly.

Hey Valarie, thanks for your reply to my joining artbistro. I was weary about joining because it feels like a my space. Ever since I was little I was always intereseted in art and I could never persue it like I wanted to. Like I said I am 41 years old and I miss it. My children can not belive the art I had put away in grgocery bags in a trunk and some things I've collected over the years. I belive I intereseted them in art. Expecially the youngest of my girls. She has some serious design talent and she's only ten. I want to start a clothing company for her. I basically put away all her skecth books for her and they are tucked away in my room which is like a museum. The bedroom is off limits the majority of the time. I am new to this site and as soon as I figure out how to add my photography work here......also reading on I noticed that one of your readers made a point about the copyright...that is really scary I almost cringed. Please say it is not true.....hope to hear from you soon....

Hello Valerie, thanks for the invite. Maybe you can help out for a minute please. I was sent the invite for ArtBistro and thought I would sign up in order to check it out and see what it is. I guess I am still confussed on what this site is all about, it appears to be like Myspace as a place for people to just chat and have a bunch of friends. If this is incorrect and an insult, I am sorry and did not mean it to be so. Is there anywhere that I can go to see what/how this site works? Thanks in advance for your advice.
