About Me:
Hey there! Tom Dumenjich from beautiful Hawthorne, CA here...

I come from a family of artists. My uncle was a painter, my sister uses different mediums (canvas, oils, pencils, chicken wire, papier-mache, dried flowers, wallpaper swatches, tiles), my niece is an up-and-coming interior designer, and my nephew played bass in his punk-metal band.

Some 25 years ago I went to LMU so I could be the next great writer-director. Welp, thanks to a horrible lack of confidence and a sense of guilt over not having a "real day job", I turned to the printing industry and slowly learned the trade of prepress. From there I moved to another company where I've functioned as both a print and web designer for the past seven years.

I'm now in hot pursuit of my DCA and trying to set up a series of contract and part-time gigs as a Graphic Designer. And I'm slowly getting back into the writing habit again - I finished a "lost episode" script for an Internet-based group of fans of classic TV shows and it was well received.

    I wish I had time off but I will be working all weekend and I am already looking to get another job. Same old broken down merry go round. Been there about 3 weeks and its already falling downhill fast. I wish I could find an art job. Everyone wants you to have experience but you cant get experience unless someone hires you and anything else around here wants you to be extremely proficient at Photoshop and like programs. I am so far behind and cant keep up at the moment.
