- About Me:
- I grew up in a little town named Wauchula with very little employment opportunity. While in high school, employment opportunity wasn't at the forefront of my mind, but having fun was. It's a little ironic that a school funded experiment (Paw Prints) would lead to my current career. While I was in high school I carried the steriotypical student job, McDonalds crewmember. Once I graduated high school I found that I no longer needed a job to buy movie tickets and fast food. I needed a job to pay rent and feed myself. Once I started living outside my means I realized I had to move to a more metropolitan area. Once moving to Tampa I found a job 1/2 a mile from where I lived and was making twice as much as my last job. Three months after I moved to Tampa I decided to enroll with Florida Metropolitan University, now known as Everest University. Since enrolling in Everest University I have been absorbing knowledge at a tremendous rate. In September of 2007 I found the perfect job as a graphic artist for a small silk screening and emproidery shop. I loved it for the same reason that I loved working with Paw Prints. I got to hold the final product in my hands. The process of turning the intangible into the tangible. When I noticed that my talents and skills grew stagnate, I knew I needed a higher work load. Thats when I found SirSpeedy. The work load was more than plenty with a very short turnaround. I learned massive amounts information while at SirSpeedy due to the high graphics demand. I loved that fact that my talent and skills were being highly polished, but I only saw a fraction of the finished product. I've been looking for the perfect employment position for about a year. A position where I can hone my skills and take pride in the finished product without having my creativity squashed in the process. I love freelance work because I utilize all of my skill and talent. The problem is the work load is inconsistent. I'm tired of this 3-5 year American work cycle. I just want to find a place to take root and grow like a miracle. Until then I'll just hold my breath.
