Personal

About Me:
My first intent was to study art once I graduated high school, but even though everyone around me thought that I "had a gift", they discouraged me from studying art because they felt that I should "major in business and get a job so I can pay bills." They said I shouldn't study art because I didn't want to be a "starving artist." I listened to them. Well, 20 years, a family and a career later, I've worked and paid bills with no fulfillment...and art is still a part of me. So I've returned to school to do it my way this time! I've reduced my corporate work time so that I could concentrate on school and honing my craft. As an entrepreneur at heart, my ultimate goal is to run a successful art-related business, and I'm on my way to doing that! **5/06/2008**My business plan is ALMOST finished...and I'm drafting a marketing plan. I am doing this nice an slowly because I don't want my ability to pay my mortgage/rent to be dependent on completing a commission. Besides, doing a business/marketing plan gives a vision and something to work towards! I'm a planner and I LOVE creating something from nothing...hence my inate NEED to be an artist full time!! Updates later...
Hobbies:
Reading, Eating Out, Family time, Making art, Knitting, Watching TV, Pets, Exercising
Favorite Movies:
Back to the Future trilogy, mysteries, suspense, romance, comedies, Bourne Identify/Supremacy/Ultimatum
Favorite TV Shows:

Favorite Music:
I like a variety of music (no particular artist or genre), Old School Junkie (Barkays, Midnight Star, E W & F, etc.)
