About Me:: I am a realist NOT !!! ...In our dreams, we can live our misbehaviors.... From the time I was a young child, I have been infatuated with imaginative stories, mythology and folk stories also I loved to study history and anything related to my middle eastern cultural roots and history. I found beauty and inspiration in everything I encountered . I felt a deep need to express my self throughout creative outlets. I became serious minded about being an artist when I was 12 and by age 16 I already participated in 3 art shows. I won a full scholarship to study fine art and I graduated majoring in two areas ~ Fine Arts and Ceramics. Then Archeology for graduate studies. Presently I am a full time studio artist , I work in oil painting, watercolor, pastels, sculptural ceramics, metals and glass art, I combine my skills to create mixed media art at times. Most of my work is commissioned and when I am not working on commissions I involve myself with experimenting with deferent ways of making art and developing my style to express my ideas. I still feel a need to challenge myself and learn something new and master more skills to produce better quality art intellectually and artistically . I consider my self very creative and took on art as a way of reinventing my self and evolving . Art is a state of mind and a way of living also. I love humanity and I have a great compassion for all sorts of causes therefor my art or writings are not always about me . I love to write poetry, I write about love peace and harmony and the state of mind of our times and society. At one point in my artistic career I felt a great need for a lot of details in my artwork but recently I find my self leaning towards abstraction . I will be posting soon my most recent artwork and in a separate gallery samples of previous years artwork.
Hobbies:: Reading, Eating Out, Theater, Making art, Outdoor Activities, Photography, Live Music, Sports, Traveling, Did I say poetry?.. I love to paint with words. Broadway shows, Museums, and anything to do with the artistic and culturer seen on the east coast.
Favorite Movies:: Too many to list, mostly forign movies ...
Favorite TV Shows:: Don't watch much TV.. when I do ... News, CSI, History chanel, Adventure, CMT
Favorite Music:: Classical , Chamber music , Otmar Lebert, Michael Buble

thanks for the add! i did check out the fashion exhibit @ the nassau museum online. i'm going to try and see go it before it closes in sept. did you go see it? the last exhibits i saw there were picasso + the school of paris and chuck close. i love the museum and the grounds. i have some photos of the sculpture gardens in my photostoo gallery. its a pleasure to meet you :)
