Personal

About Me:
As long as I can remember I have always had a pencil in my hand and a sketchbook by my side. Two of my older sisters have Fine Art degrees from San Jose State and my mother was a wonderful oil painter. I was born in San Jose, CA and moved to Redding, CA when I was eleven. This is where I fell in love with photography. The scenery around Redding is magnificent, with Mt. Shasta to the north and Mt. Lassen to the east. Everywhere you turned there was such beauty in the landscapes. Photography and drawing followed me throughout high school and college. At the time I was at CSU Sacramento they did not have a Photography degree program, so with the approval of the Art Department I work on Independent Study projects. Through my junior and senior year I presented my findings to the Photography department, hoping that one day they would start a degree program. My second love was the theater. At CSU Sacrmaneto I took both Lighting Design and Technical Theater courses. I designed lighting for two major productions at CSU Sacramento and designed the stage for our own production of Medea. Unfortunately I had to cut my stay at CSU Sac short for I had to leave due to family crisis, before I got my BA degree. I have lived in Washington and California and am now currently residing in Napa county. I have started my quest to finish my BA degree by taking refresher courses at the local community college. It is from here I plan to go to Sonoma State to finish my degree.
