I'm back again talking about my arm. In a way I abuse myself, I had to make money again and had to pick up a hammer which I vowed I'd never do again, the shock and sudden force has cut loose some tendons and caused inflamation.

"Intimate Geography," curated by Deborah
Thomas and Linda Anne Hoag, features mixed media and installation
work by artists Edith Abeyta, Daniel Marlos, Jennifer Murphy, Thomas
and Hoag. The work offers a collection of imaginative and personal
perspectives on how one relates to a particular locale. Themes of
mapping, memory, and personal encounter with the natural and social
environments thread through artwork including a scavenger hunt staged
in Highland Park and a shower curtain covered with tiny photographs
of the Arroyo Seco water table.

I've recently had a broken arm silly me I was trying to make a pitifully small amount of money during the summer to pay some bills. I ended up falling 20+ feet to my death, just kidding I fell on my arm which was crushed. If I didn't have clay to work with I dont think I would have recovered enough movement to draw or write. Thinking back it's a fact the familarity of those actions were the strong leaders and encouragement to continue working and rebuild muscle.
I love working with clay and I hope that I can share it with others, I've been to college, and traveled many places searching to meet people. My favorite changes in environment are traveling to new, and unfamiliar places, I make a tea pot for every different place I've been to, that way I can remember all the time and places. I communicate visually by drawing sketches.
