About Me:
hi creative ones, I guess I'm a frustrated artist who has finally begun painting (one year ago and no training what-so-ever). I have been a professional flamenco dancer for 25 years and have traveled the world stamping my feet many times over. I've been lucky in flamenco and have danced with the best and in venues such as Covent Garden and the Royal Albert Hall apart from Flamenco Tablao's in Madrid, Mexico City and United States. My paintings to date have been strongly influenced by flamenco. I love little towns and the moon or sun are often present... and swirls and swirls.... Strong colors and large canvases excite me. Recently I had my first exhibition and sold two paintings, I'm pleased because they were large and expensive! From August 1st - 17 2008 SALA Festival (South Australian Living Artists) is running and I have my studio open to the public. It's a huge festival which takes over the whole state. I love this painting thing, unlike dancing flamenco I don't need to rely on anyone else to actually do it (guitarist, singer...etc), and there's a finished product at the end, unlike flamenco dancing where there's only one chance per show to get it right! for more info on my flamenco history: www.teatrodelmundo.com
Hobbies:
Reading, Theater, Family time, Making art, Watching Films, Pets, Traveling, dancing flamenco
