About Me:
Dan’s biography Born in Fresno, 3/11/64, 9:59pm. Father-minister, musician, songwriter, composer. Mother-homemaker, vocalist. Dan showed an early interest in visual arts. Early achievements include: At age14, (along with a few artists from other schools), were invited to city hall to receive recognition for drawings and paintings on display, Awards given by the Mayer during a news broadcast. At age15, Dan had artwork on display at radio park art museum, also numerous awards for model making and model rocketry. He also had special interests in electronics, film making, animation, special effects, and photography. He enlisted with the Army at age17, M.O.S..-13b1c,-(Primary-Cannon Crewman, Secondary - Nuc.Bio.Chem.Defense Specialist). All the time keeping up his passion for drawing and special effects. Discharged at age 23, He took to construction, then house painting for 19 years, (specializing in custom cabinets and faux finishes). In his spare time he always was involved in some kind of creativity, designing and building models, miniature sets for animation- photography, time laps, electronics, carpentry, Designing and building games for school P.T.A. fund raising., amateur music video production (for local band demo's), weddings and family. Mostly for experience. As recent as 1997, He redirected His creative abilities to digital media., Learning to operate personal computers at first, then the inner working's and construction of, then eventually integrating video and p.c technology. He spent a few years learning video editing and photo programs, (Self taught). Like many, Dan was inspired by Star Wars, H.G Wells, and Ray Bradbury his real goal had always been to work in special effects. The technology of today has brought new tools for Dan. He recently graduated From the Institution of Technology's Web and Graphic Design course to obtain formal training in the web and graphics feild, and to reacquaint himself with his all time passion for traditional and digital art. Dan hopes to succesfully exploite his talents in the web and graphics field and discontinue construction painting once and for all.
