Personal

About Me:: I am a traditional artist in the respect that I am dirt poor. Ah but they tell me that is supposed to be inspiring somehow. I have had plenty of that inspiration...I would like to try the monied version please. I have led a rather varied life which includes episodes like living in a palapa in southern Mexico and having a Jaguar come visiting in the night. I have had military experiences that have left a few scars both inside and out. I have worked as one part of a five man team that operated a 2000 acre grain farm in the very northernmost part of North Dakota. Generally it has not been what you could call an average life...though there are actually times when things are somewhat normal. I have been a practicing artist for 30 or so years, and a professional one for about 25. I have a bachelor's in fine arts, and have been in a few shows, but nothing of great note yet. Currently the only place to view my work is online, and in the homes of the folks who have purchased my works through the years. My biggest art/craft claim to fame is that I engraved and painted a label recreation on the world's largest champagne bottle (120liters)for Korbel for their millennium celebration in Times Square. I like to sing, though I don't have a singing voice I could make a living with. Mostly I sing folk songs, and most of them Irish. I play a couple of instruments, though mostly for myself. There are a lot of other aspects about me that you will just have to get to know me to learn. In general I would be happy to get to know you, whoever you are.
Hobbies:: Reading, Making art, Photography, Cooking, Traveling, Gaming
Favorite Movies:: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Enemy at the Gates,all kinds of others
Favorite TV Shows:: I mostly watch the history and discovery channels, the food network, certain sitcoms for stress relief, and some travel channel, especially Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, and Andrew Zimmern Bizzare Foods.
Favorite Music:: I like a wide range of music from John Denver to Apollo Four Forty, Joni Mitchell, Irish folk music, some country western, some rap, rock from several decades, non western music of many types and cultures

Just wanted to say that I will be a bit less involved here for a bit due to the fact that the company that I am part owner of is in the process of going out of business. This will be taking up a good deal of my time for a bit, not to mention money, so please excuse my absence. I hope to be able to return to more activity as soon as I can. Best regards to all.

"I was wondering if in these photos you were A. just posing in an interesting fashion B. doing some kind of martial art like Tai Chi C. doing ballet D. none of the above?" To answer your question it's a little of both. I needed a pose for my sketch book, I took the pose from a Tai Chi movement, I use to do ballet and I did ballet for 13 years. I hope that answer your question about my photos.
