About Me:
When Vaughn W.Wright was borne, little did he know that he would possess two great talents, the first talent was being able to sing. Just about any song that he would hear. And the other talent was being able to draw anything with out even looking at it. These were very unique gift (s)/ talent (s) to possess. Unique indeed, because It is said that very few people posses this ability and to find a child is even more rare. Such artist of the past l;ike DeVinchie, Ruben and Rapheal, are just a few to name of course if you studied art history then you should have a good idea of what i am refering to here. After all, most people go to school for many years to study how to draw the perfect body or sing with the perfect voice. I guess you could say that Vaughn was what you might call a child prodigy. Focusing on his drawing talent-Vaughn could draw anything once he put his mind to it, and to prove it let's take a trip back to the past. Vaughn was in the first grade and already his talented rebellious were getting him into trouble. When his very attractive young teacher tried to get the class to draw a picture of choice, Vaughn did not want to do it. This led to a frustrating development between Vaughn and his teacher. However, the teacher new exactly how to handle the very stubborn and independent thinking child, she called his mom the next morning right before it was time for him to go to school. I suppose that Mom and teacher really convinced Vaughn how important it was to draw, because when he got to school, Vaughn drew one of the most realistic pictures that any of the children could draw. Needless to say, that the teacher showed very little interest in the picture. The picture consisted of nothing more than cows eating grass while the farmer drove a tractor. This was the first sign of many of Vaughn's gifted ability to draw. Next, by the time Vaughn had reached the second grade, he was trying to draw cool people. This consisted of people smoking a cigarette, and in addition, sport cars. It wasn't until the teacher had discovered that Vaughn wasn't doing his work, but instead he was having an art contest with another student tyring to see who could draw the collest person. (did I mention the cigerrette)? Unfortunately the teacher there wasn't pleased, so she confiscated the art work, tore it up and threw it away. [talk about art appreciation] Buy the time Vaughn had made it to the fouth grade his older brother, showed him how to better draw people. It was the Green Hornet and Kato. After that, his projection and perception of how people looked was better understood. However, it wasn't until Vaughn had entered into the sixth grade that he really felt a need and desire. It was in his Social Studies Class that he had decided to put his art work to real good use. It all started one day during the spring, the teaching assignments had dwindled down and to almost nothing, so the teacher's had to spread out their assignments until June the first. It was during the after noon when Mrs. Peggy Scott a lovable jolly woman who liked to wear lavender, told the class. "Class we have finished our assignment for the day, you can do whatever you want except, leave the class room, and go to sleep." Many children did a number of different things accept Vaughn. The quote 'great minds need lots of rest' was no joke, when it came to Vaughn, because all he wanted to do was sleep. However Mrs. Scott wasn't going to let the little child prodigy sleep, at least not on her watch. And what Mrs. Scott did was suggest that he should read a book or something to stimulate his brain. So Vaughn picked up his social studies book to try and study for a upcoming test, unfortunately Vaughn has always had a peculiar problem when it comes to reading, and that problem is, if the book is boring then it will put him to sleep. Apparently there is a dilemma. One he needs to read in order to study for a test, and two he needs to find a way to stay awake while he reads. So Vaughn did the next best thing, he closed his social studies book and sought out his friends. Fortunately, his friends were discussing in a not so quiet way, who was the baddest super hero. And the three contenders were; Spider Man, Superman, and Captain America. This was the beginning of Vaughn's genius starting to show. When Vaughn asked if he could read the comic books, he noticed something very strange. All of the bad guys in all three books happen to be that of black (African American) origin. Now from when Vaughn did read his social studies book he noticed that the book gave a descriptive look at races of people. For instance it identified Anglo's as being straight haired, white and fair skinned people. It said that Asian people were slant eyed, and that Eskimo's where related to blacks. And finally it stated that black people hair were beaded darken skinned and could stand out in the sun for a very long time. Vaughn Found this to be very preposterous, because for one all of his sisters ranged from being fare to light skinned to being less than black. In addition many of the females that Vaughn found him self attractive to, weren't even remotely darken skinned. Then Vaughn got an idea, (since everyone's point of view of black people are that of being criminals and dark skinned and nappy headed people, perhaps I can turn things around)
