About Me:
Namaste... I honor the Spirit of light within you. ("Namaste" also means "hello" and "goodbye," and was originally to be the theme of our senior showcase this April; however we changed it to "Xeper," which is Eqyptian meaning "to come into being.") My name is Emma and I am a recent graduate from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art & Associated Studies. My hopes are to one day pursue women's studies and work towards raising awareness on women's issues. I was the Art Auction coordinator for the 2008 Vagina Monologues at my university and it changed my life. I'd love to illustrate children's books, do art as therapy with battered and sexually violated women and men, and paint on commission. I love Jesus and Meat Loaf, both men sing to my soul. I'm really excited to see Pam Beesley venture out as an aspiring Graphic Artist (I love The Office). And one of my favorite pasttimes is buying decrepid frames from Goodwill, revamping them, and creating a painting that suits the frame. My favorite media are watercolor, pen & ink, color pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, linoleum cut, and I am brushing up on my acrylic skills.
