"I used to have a pinto who looked that this horse. I miss him. You made me think of him again. Thank you.

"Oh! I love your horses! I have loved horses all my life! Not just how they look, but what they mean.

- About Me:
- I started as a model for artists and photographers. Then I got into it. When I lived in Guatemala for 7 years I got lots of encouragement and became one of the top artists there. Had many one-woman shows. I invented a process I called "Collage Howell" in which I used photography, xerography and collage. Also used mirrors. As a painter, I took classes, but it seems that it comes out from the subconscious, I draw the feeling of the image rather than the literal. I still like to draw and paint nudes. They are the basis of all. I use pen and ink -- India and colored ink. As a writer I am published internationally. Los Angeles Times, Family Circle, Tallahassee Democrat, and others, also in Guatemala. I have a book of my poetry and paintings titled IN THE LANGUAGE OF NATURE. It's a bilingual poetry flipbook. I designed the book also. I am a designer of many things, including interior and exteriors of homes and offices. I write novels, screenplays, short stories, juvenile, non-fiction travel and poetry. I NEED AN AGENT! I am an artist, not a salesperson. But with success I want to share with others, that's part of it. CA

WE ARE NOT GODDESSES
by C.A. Howell
We are blood and breath --
Not goddesses
Nor slaves
Nor beasts of burden
Nor birds of prey
But heat and fire
Dry ice boiling in its caldron.
We are electricity
Floods
We are cyclones
Mountains of the sea
Gushing tumbling rivers
We are silent earth that CRACKS and spews boiling liquid
We are everything that is alive,
worth attention and contemplation
We are no holds barred
Hearts wide open
We are emotion and control
Heals dug in
Jaws set
We are eyes of diamonds
Wisps of sand blown up into a dance
Angel hair, flying cotton candy
We are rain that drenches you
We are sun that dries you
We give you drink
then drain you of tears, sweat & semen
We are everything and anything that has ever
turned your life upside down
We are what puts you to sleep and what keeps you awake
HOWELL/GODDESSES - P. 2
We are what makes you do the impossible
and what makes you give up
We are what makes you live
and what makes you want to die
We give you birth and bring you death
We are what makes you a man
rather than a mass of blood and intestines
We are the seed of your tree
the flower of your fruit
Through us you have known
what life is
It's not safe
A little joy can hurt you terribly
Enjoy your pain
You are alive and
You are a man!
We are not goddesses
We are women!

Here is my famous poem, famous in Malibu, California and in Guatemala. Translated it into Spanish and read it on national television. Then women from all over the country called in and said, "Those are our words! It's our poem!" They all wanted a copy, but at the time it wasn't in print. Now it is the cornerstone of my book IN THE LANGUAGE OF NATURE. And here it is in English.

Not an artist in training. Known as one of the top artists in Guatemala. Where I live I have no support. So, I'm spending more time writing. Writers are artists too.

I need technical help, please. I have a Kodak Easy Share camera. I can send fotos through their service, which I detest. Please tell me how to send my fotos to you. Here's one 0066 jpg. Please guide me
Also, I am a painter. May I photograph my paintings and send them to you too?
I good at the creation, need guidance with the technical stuff. I do not have a scanner.
Thanks, CA
