Hypocrisy of Life

Description:
Are you a good person, what makes you better than who you believe to be bad? Do you stick up for the “nerdy” kids; do you walk by the hobo in the street? Which do you spend more time with, your computer or your friends? How many good deeds have you done, what have you done to help someone. When have you ever stuck up for someone, who do you reach out to, or do you at all. How much do you care about your life or is the real question how much do you care about your stuff. Materialism, bullies, mechanization, lost morality, unfriendliness, stereotypes, judgments; all these things are increasing as time goes on.
It is so easy to laugh when someone makes a mean joke, we are so scared of getting that focus of hatred turned onto us that we would forget another human being and just deny them any good words to save them from the mean gestures of the people who take out there anxiety on the people we label as different so that they feel better because they must put someone down to raise themselves up, they know on the inside they are the ugliest of all because the only way to find themselves is to hurt someone else.
We never say hello to those people we pass in the halls; we walk right by as someone trips and drops there stuff, as people reach the brink of mental breakdown. People need a helping hand, they need that shoulder to cry on, they need an outlet, someone to vent to, so many people these days try to mimic the fast paced technology driven existence we live in, not realizing that we are not made of metal and plastic but of flesh and bone, we are natural, we screw up and we can’t store all our stress in a hard drive or just put it in the recycling bin, we have to let it out, we can’t hold it in. when we store up our emotions we hurt ourselves, denying ourselves emotions is denying life we must experience the good with the bad, happy with the sad, all opposites equal out to create life. We need to retrogress, we need to simplify this complicated mess we call today. There are some very basic things which the people of today just can’t grasp, money doesn’t bring happiness, sex is not the meaning of love, drugs are just an escape from reality they don’t solve any problems, looks don’t make up a person; it’s what’s on the inside. We let the media, the technology, the tainted views of others, school, the government, parents, and peers all affect us and make us who we are when we are the ones who should decide that.
Our world is on a twisted path to destruction, we live in a selfish, sociopath driven society. We all work our whole lives to get what we want, to create the image of what the media wants us to look like. The world has filled up with pragmatists, no one cares about each other, and we lie and scheme to get what we want not caring about the lives we hurt along the way. No amount of money or materials will ever make you feel better about whom you are, strip away all the stuff and take a look inside yourself and decide if you love who you are. We have almost forgotten what love really means, we tear the connection with our “true love”, divorce and spousal abuse runs rampant while the true innocence of that four letter word is lost. What happened to caring for another human being, why do we let that kid sit alone in class, or abandon a friend when they make a wrong choice? What is so hard about being friendly to another human being is it so hard to be civil, to care? Why do we focus on our outward appearance and money while we let our souls grow ugly with hatred and greed?
My house might be made with some glass but this rock must be thrown, I fight for the fading goodness in humanity, not the materialistic masochistic self indulgence. What do you fight for?
